In Recollect, you take the role of a wizard who has lost his memory. Overcome plenty of obstacles with creative solutions by casting spells with help from your spellbook. Encounter strange, otherworldly sights and piece together memories from your past to take control of your life once again.

About the Game

Recollect is a 2D topdown puzzle-adventure game. In this game, you're given the ability to cast a number of spells by typing them on the keyboard. You will acquire a spellbook that will serve as a hint for what those spells are. As you progress through the game and solve various puzzles using these spells, you will come across fragments of your past which will uncover parts of the spellbook while also uncovering mysteries of the alien world around you.

Development

This game is currently still in development and what you can see here is an early version of a demo which is also not entirely finished. The complete version of the demo will be released in Q2 2026 on Steam and Itch.io.

Acknowledgments

This game started as a semestral project for the "Computer Games" course at CTU FEE during the winter semester 2024/2025. In the7 final presentations that happened in the last week of the semester it placed first.

The game continued its development thanks to the Prague Game Accelerator which was funded by the European Union, the City of Prague, and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of Czech Republic.

Finally, we want to thank everyone that supported us during development so far. Most of all, we thank all people that have tested our game before it was released and helped us resolve many bugs, but also issues related to puzzle design.
